Osaka Castle (part 2)

We had local breakkie in the hotel before we started our sightseeing for the day. This trip was a self guided tour, every night..we wld plan for the next day itineary.  After dinner they would start their assignments looking up the map & flyers how to get to the places.  Our first destination is Osaka Castle, one of the famous and popular landmark and popular sightseeing spot in Osaka.

We did lotsa walking here just the like locals do..we don't really mind walking under such fine weather as we could explore the town better especially places for our gastronomic pleasures. *wink wink* As you know AZMAHAL holiday's motto is "Holiday is all about food"

Pictures in the previous entry were taken around the garden at Osaka Castle. The castle is surrounded by lawn garden which is popular during the cherry blossom. More pics at Osaka Castle

We had took away lunch in the hotel. Otw back we would dropped by few convenience stores to buy our meal, off course the local food which we enjoy much. After lunch, is a free & easy itineary until time to go out again for dinner and strolling the busy streets. And this was our routine for the 5 days stay in Osaka,

Hello from Azmahal

The blog has been facelifted to make it more spicy and juicy to all the readers with a new mission as our family travel journal. We are sharing our experienced here so you can make it as your reference in future. Me personally like to read others travel blog to gather information abt places that I wanted to go. Don't you think its a hands-on infos that i could benefit...so pathetic huh..

Am disgressing...too much intro, well after osaka we(whole family) went to vientianne, laos during the CNY(21/1/12 -24/1/12). The destination was chosen by the king of azmahal kingdom. Why laos??? cause everyone has not been there, shorter flying time & a remote asian country.

Before we tell you more about Vientianne, Laos let's complete the Osaka trip. Azlan is chasing me to add more spice to it..almost 5 months  and we still not done with it...sobs sobs.

Btw where did u stop Azlan?

After settling down for a few minutes, we take a stroll around the city while looking for dinner. We had udon as i was really craving for a good udon, in front of our hotel. The udon was really good and also very fast service!

Osaka (The Arrival)

Ok, so we reached Kansai Airport at 4.00 pm local time and it was already dark outside! It's winter and the temperature is around 10 degree C. So we rushed our ways to the hotel before the sun sets as we aren't familiar with this area. To make it more challenging, we are travelling on our own, no tour guide or even ground clearance. Even worse, none of us can read and speak Japanese, only Abang can speak a little, thanks to his 3rd language class on KUSESS.

We took the express train, which stop at less stations so less time taken to reach Namba. At 5.45 pm we reached Namba station and decided to just walk to our hotel. We could take subway there but we are so eager to have a look around the city despite the cold weather and our luggage.
The distance is around 2km and we walk for about 20 mins, including pit stop at the local mini mart for some onigiri. We are shivering all the way (4 degree C) and take a few stops for heater in the mini mart while feasting our eyes with the snacks and packed foods. Yes, their packed foods look really really goood!

Osaka (Intro)

Jiha had just finish her paper for SPM, so she deserved a vacation and a lot of places popped toour mind. Yes, OURS! A lot of places were suggested and after a lot of consideration about the cost, weather, and the duration of flight, we decided to take the offer from AirAsia X promotion to Osaka. Very good price i can say.

So, Osaka it is. Mama as the chief de' mission prepared all the documents necessary to travel ie. tickets, visa and all the stuff. I, apparently was battling with my final papers at UNITEN. I finished my paper on 4th Jan and fly to Osaka on 8th. Just in time!

We start our journey at 5.00 am and headed to LCCT straight away. Our flight was scheduled at 7.50am and take about 6 hours.
